To begin with this recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can have bierocks using 6 ingredients and 10 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Bierocks:
  1. Prepare 3 lb. bag Frozen dinner rolls (24)
  2. Get 2 lb. hamburger
  3. Get 1 onion, chopped
  4. Take 1 head cabbage, chopped
  5. Make ready 1/2 cup water
  6. Take Seasonings of choice: pepper, garlic, parsley
Instructions to make Bierocks:
  1. This recipe involves the process of letting the frozen rolls rise for 5 hours. Make sure you have the time! Begin by placing the frozen rolls on greased baking sheets and cover with plastic wrap that has also been greased so they do not stick to the top. Allow to rise for 5 hours.
  2. Meanwhile, make your meat filling. Cook hamburger along with onion and seasonings until fully cooked.
  3. Add in half of your chopped cabbage and also 1/2 cup water and cook down for a few minutes.
  4. Add remaining cabbage and simmer until cooked down enough to get a lid on.
  5. Simmer on medium low for 30 minutes. Once done, strain meat mixture.
  6. Line the bottom of a large bowl with paper towels. Add meat mixture. This step is important to soak up the liquid remaining and will make sealing up the rolls much easier. I then place the bowl in the fridge until dough has completely risen.
  7. Once rolls are ready, place one on a flat plate at a time and punch down and press out flat.Place about a 1/3 cup meat mixture in the middle. Bring up all the sides and give a little twist to seal.
  8. Place seam side down on a greased baking sheet and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Enjoy with ketchup and mustard if desired. I served mine with my beer cheese dip and it was the perfect combo!
  10. Our little loves hers with a hefty side of ketchup! 🤪
